#1 Boston Celtics vs #7 New Orleans Pelicans

This should be a great matchup. You have the two-time defending champs versus two of the top players in the league at their positions (AD and Wall). The Pelicans are very top heavy and probably have the two best players in the series, maybe even three with Okafor. However, the C's are extremely deep and have a lot of experience. I predict a great back-and-forth series for the ages.

Prediction: Boston in 7

Author's Note: This a dream NBA Finals matchup for me. I've been a Celtics fan since the late 80's and they've been my #1 team since then. However, I picked up New Orleans as my 2nd team when I moved to Lousiana in 2008 and I usually go to a couple of their games each season.

.... and with that I'm likely done playing games in this franchise. I may sim a couple more seasons, mainly just to see how some of the players progress and which players make it to the HoF, etc. and I'll continue posting the results if anyone is interested.

I've had a great time playing 2K17 and keeping up with this dynasty here. Thanks to everyone who read or participated and thanks to those who inspired me to start this one through their dynasty's over the years (studbucket, trekfan, vtcha, Jazzman, etc.).

I plan on returning for 2K18, although, I haven't decided on a team yet... A second straight year of the Celtics is always a possibility or maybe the Pel's since I haven't used them in awhile. There are a couple of lesser teams out West that I've got my eye on, as well. As always I'm open to suggestions on both which team I choose and things like season length, expansion, etc.
