Tyson-Holyfield III????

http://www.eastsideboxing.com/news.php?p=18546&more=1

This is where I stand up and say "Hi. I'm Money99 and I'm a Tyson addict". Because as pathetic as this fight will be, I'm far more pathetic for wanting to watch it.

If it does happen, which I'm still highly doubting, Holyfield KO2.

This is a payday fight for Mike (he hasn't taken any other kind since coming out of jail) so I don't see him training or caring for this fight.

As much as I like Tyson, I would have to agree with you. This would be very sad to watch, it would be a travesty to the sweet science.

Re: Tyson-Holyfield III????

There seems to be some conflicting reports.
First from CNN:

http://edition.cnn.com/2008/SPORT/02...tch/index.html

Quote:
Holyfield, 45, has revealed he is considering an offer from 41-year-old Tyson's camp to meet in the ring for a third time. "There has been some talk between us," Holyfield told The Guardian newspaper on Thursday.

"Mike had Jeff Fenech, who's been training him, call me a few months ago. Jeff says Mike wants to fight me again - but he needs to know if I would agree to it.

"I said, 'It all depends on what they are going to give us - because I'm gonna catch a lot of flak if I say I'm fighting Mike Tyson again.

I've already said I don't want to fight Mike no more'. "Jeff says, 'What if Mike gets in proper shape?' I told him that's OK but I can't be part of it if Mike's going to pull out.

Jeff said, 'The main thing Mike wants to know is if you would be willing to fight him again?' I said, 'Yeah, if the price is right, I probably would'."
But then there's this from Holyfields Manager, Ken Sanders:

http://www.doghouseboxing.com/Benz/Benz_0125g09.htm

Quote:
Quoted by Pat Sheehan of The Sun, in regards to a third fight between Tyson and Holyfield, Sanders stated: "It’s not true Evander is fighting Tyson. A third fight with Tyson is just not happening."

Sanders confirmed that they in fact were trying to secure a rematch this coming spring against Nikolai Valuev. Sanders went on to diss Tyson for being overweight and a coward, telling the Publication: "Tyson is walking around at something like 280lbs and couldn’t fight if he wanted to — anyway he’s a coward."
The last time a rumor regarding Holy's next opponent was shot down as rumor, it took place just as it was reported when he fought Valuev.

In my mind, Sanders is doing nothing but pumping this "non-existant" fight up by calling Tyson a coward.

I can definitely see this fight coming to fruition. Both fighters need a payday and it's an easy one for both.
Holyfield will probably destroy Mike within 3 rounds and Mike can take the cash, receive a beating that would be far less than the one he'd get from one of the Klitscho's and walk away a little less in debt.
Holy would get a big chunk of cash to take care of all his illegitimate kids and make sure he's financially sound. It would also help keep his name in the minds of other fighters helping him to another shot at a title.

And as grosse as a 3rd fight sounds between the two, it would no doubt pull in more PPV revenue than any fight scheduled this year.

I just do not see it. Tyson quit on the stool his last time out. Why would any of us want to see these two go at it? Seriously? It means nothing to boxing.

Everyone loves a trainwreck including myself but I don't want this fight to happen. Both men should just leave it alone and stop making themselves look foolish.

I'm sorry, Tyson is not fighting anyone looking like this

It'd be much more entertaining if he did.
And I love the floods he's wearing! LOL!
