Cotto v. Pacman November 14th

Just got finished with the 3rd episode of the 24/7.......

Saturday can't come soon enough

BTW if what's going on in Manny's camp is real [the drama between the adviser and trainers] that's a damn shame

I love my countryman but I have Cotto in this one either by decision or KO

I think it's having VERY little effect on Manny, if any at all. Freddie Roach still runs the show in that camp, and everything else are just satellites orbiting around the outer edges of Planet Freddie-Manny.

The one thing I noticed about Manny in the third episode is that he looks more bulked up than he did for the Oscar or Hatton fights. He always looks in phenomenal shape, but his torso muscles looked really THICK, as if he knows Cotto will hit him harder than anyone he's faced.

Yet Manny still looks ridiculously fast. Combine that with the HUGE advantage in trainer experience and skill for Manny, and I see him either winning with an early KO or a decision.

This fight either will end early with a Manny KO if he is able to exploit a flaw or weakness in Cotto like he did against Hatton, or it will go the distance, with Manny winning a unanimous decision.

I don't think Cotto will leave himself nearly as vulnerable to Manny's shots as Hatton because Cotto has become much more of a counterpuncher at welterweight than the seek-and-destroy fighter he was at light welter.

Can't wait for this fight!

Take care,
PK

Hey I hope you're right

Cotto's chin scares the daylight's out of me. The man will not submit.

I have a feeling it's going to be a war.. the exact opposite of Pac's last two bouts.

This should be a great fight! I'm rooting for Cotto.
I have seen Cotto take punches from big guys and deal with guys with superior speed, I don't know if manny can handle the power Cotto will bring? I can't wait, this is the kind of fight that restores my passion for the sport.

I'll take Cotto by 10th rnd stoppage.

I also think Pacman wins this one via TKO just like the dela Hoya fight. Manny's combination of speed + power will outclass Cotto. This is how I feel from watching Cotto's last 2 fights and Manny's fight with bigger guys.

Diaz, dela Hoya and Hatton all were outclassed because of this combination and I don't see why it wouldn't be the same for Cotto.

You must have missed the Margarito fight. Cotto submitted in that fight, quitting.

Then again, it's almost a certainty that Tony's wraps were loaded, as no man ever has turned Cotto's face into raw cube steak like Margarito, before or after that fight.

Take care,
PK

Also he took 10 rounds of punishment before quitting. 10 rounds of getting hit in the face by hardened wraps is amazing. I have Cotto winning this by late KO.

Help my 44-year-old memory here: Who's the last guy to put Manny on his butt? Morales? Barrera?

Take care,
