Floyd Mayweather vs Robert Guerrero

I'm getting excited about this fight. Robert Guerrero showed he had a solid chin against Berto and some decent power. We all know Mayweather is a technician but he is getting up there in age. I think this may be a great fight.

Gorilla Production made a great video:

Comments by Floyd:

"These guys were joking about me going to jail. A week after the fight, it's time for him to do his time."

I don't even fault Floyd for making these comments. He's getting in Guerrero's head.

On the other hand Guerrero might be super motivated. He's no spring chicken and his career will be severely sidetracked if he does a couple of years in the can.

Reminded me of when Floyd brought up Gatti's addiction problems before their fight. I think Guerrero is trying to switch roles. Though I was was kind of laughing at Guerrero for talking about class considering how dirty he fights sometimes.

i'm sure floyd is eyeing canelo, but don't sleep on guerrero. he is younger, solid chin and decent power. if he applies pressure for ALL 12 rounds, this could be an interesting fight. can guerrero avoid getting hit? can he hurt floyd? will he be intimidated? maybe he can learn from what ortiz did wrong, what cotto couldn't do, and what marquez did do against manny.

I think you're absolutely right. Guerrero is more skilled and has better conditioning than Canelo. But Canelo is only 22 and is gona get better. Guerrero has better mental makeup than Ortiz and Cotto is past his prime.

Beating Berto does not set one up for a fight with FM. RG and his team think it has but they will be sadly mistaken if they think the rough 'em up game plan will work. If they do, it will end very similar to how the Gatti and Hatton fight did. Anyone can be beat, but styles make fights and RG's has proven to be ineffective to this point when going against FM.

Guerrero is good but doesn't have the punch or savvy to challenge Floyd.

I would have liked to see RG fight Broner.

Re: Floyd Mayweather vs Robert Guerrero

Can't believe this is less than a week away and a good undercard to boot. Thinking about Guerrero and his chances in a percentage I give him a 35% chance and my reasons:

*I have never seen another fighter come in this calm and confident against Mayweather
*He has endured and stayed focused during times that most men could not
*His only loss was revenged and is undefeated with his pops in the corner
*He has underrated speed, footwork, and power
*I don't think he will get discouraged when he misses or is down rounds
*He isn't afraid to get a little "Bernard Hopkins" in the ring

What do you all think? Am I nuts?
