Even if he doesn't know that it was a full game suspension (really how can he not, it's been reported all day) he shouldn't be out there in full pads fer cryin' out loud. When was the last time you seen a suspended player do that?

Never

I love what he does on the field but on a maturity level... He needs to grow up.
He needs to grow up because he put pads on knowing he isn't playing????

I agree he needs to grow up, but putting pads on despite the fact he isn't going to play is not childish. Not even sure why you, or anyone thinks that.

Someone help me understand this please.

If a player was ruled out of a game because of concussions but wanted to put pads on for whatever reason would we have a similar reaction?

I wouldn't have expected Winston to dress yesterday but see zero issue with him wanting to be fully suited on the sidelines.

He isn't the only FSU player that's been suspended but dressed out. Pretty sure one of our WRs did the same thing earlier in the year.

Dont know if you guys watched Fox's halftime show, but they were basically calling out everyone involved. Winston, the coach, and even the equipment guys got it! Just way overboard in my opinion. I tend to agree with kehlis if he wants to wear his pads what's the big deal?

I was confused though because it looked like after he changed he was going around apologizing to his teammates. Was that really necessary?

I liked that he wanted to be a part of the team despite knowing he wasn't playing.

To me it's a non-issue, not sure why some are making it one.

Last year it was Manziel, this year it's Winston. They have to talk about something...

It wouldn't have bothered me at all if they were just talking about it though. It's the way they made it out to be some sort of federal offense that I thought was crazy
