Running option in coach mode

i'm one of those coach mode players and i am having the hardest time making my team run the option right. when the hole is the the qb wont give the dive to the fb and if the qb keeps it he will start to lower his shoulders to get around the corner and stumble and fall this is really annoying. does someone know how to get the team to run the option right?

player lock on a player that won't have an impact on the play. Try to choose someone though that will allow you to visually see the play after hiking the ball.

"Coach Mode" does not truly exist because simply having the user icon on a given player effects how that player performs.

On defense you don't need to player lock. The engine is pretty good at taking control of your defensive player if you don't move the controller. Try not to play on the line however, because the cpu quarterback is easily affected by the human players pass rush.

I've been playing coach mode for years.

Two things:

1. User QB's will not hand the ball off in the Triple Option or Read Option plays without controller input.

2. Speed Option plays are the most effective in Coach Mode.
