Starters out at in 4th Qtr?

I’ve been playing exhibition games using the latest rosters for 14 but shuffling the depth charts to start next years players

In close games, my starting HB and WRs disappear in the 4th quarter. No injuries and still listed as starters, I end up having to win games with all my backup players

Is there a setting that tell the game to sit my starters in the 4th? I’ve seen this happen during Dynasty mode as well but most of those games were blowouts so I figured the game was sitting my starters. But in one close game it still happened

Your auto sub settings. If your sub in/sub out are too high, your players in the fourth quarter never get high enough to come back in
