Quick control question in FIFA WC '10

Hey all,

Just downloaded the FIFA WC '10 game demo for 360 because I'm interested in getting a soccer game (haven't had one since FIFA 96 lol)...my question is, is there a way to make it so it doesnt auto switch your player in the demo/game? I want to be able to control when I switch players, not have the computer do it randomly for me. Thanks!

You can turn it down in the game, I don't know if you can in the demo though

Ah okay, I guess that's good enough...by chance do you know what menu options it's under in the game?

My FIFA > Game Settings?

Or you can press X before going into a game I think (Don't have it for 360)

Yeah, it's under Game Settings, may have to press LB/RB to get to the proper screen in game settings.

Yeah but there's still a little annoyance that I dont like about it....turning down the slider ONLY prevents auto switching to the closest player when your on DEFENSE but as soon as any of your player touch the ball it will auto switch to that player.

In theory it sounds ok but it has often lead to some quick confusion at times deep in front of my own goalie and some dangerous turnovers.

The game, unfortunately doesnt have a true PLAYER ROLE feature ( controlling the same player or position throughout the entire match)

This feature is only available, for some odd reason, in Captain Your Country Mode but not in the other Cup Modes

I'll have to look into that. While I haven't tried those mods yet, I thought the "player lock" was available all the time.

I believe it's under "Controller Customization". You can press Y on the team select screen to access it or do it through the main menu --> My FIFA WC --> Controller Settings... or something like that.
