You can still be a pest in NHL 09

I do it all the time, its just choosing your battles, if your sound defensively, breaking up players when they attempt the cheese, you'll frustrate them. The last 3 games I've drawn over 7 penalties from people giving me the cross check during play for no reason. I use vision control and skate right in their face all the way up ice and eventually they hit me causing a penalty. Then I score on the powerplay and it gets them going even more.

Does anyone else use the pest tactic in 09?

On defense I absolutely do exactly what your talking about, however on offense I hate players like you haha I don't cheese though, unless somebody on the other team does it first then the flood gates open and its Toe Drag City for me.

Right up with ya there man. They quit on me most of the time they cannot pull some of those cheesy goals on me.

You can tell when you're under someone's skin in OTP. I had a guy chasing me around for a few minutes after I creamed him into the boards (legally), took the puck and set up a goal. Sometimes I'll shadow someone if they're repeatedly generating chances -- usually through cheese -- which leads to the occasional pointless penalty away from the play...
