Goal tender interference

Hi guys,

I was wondering if any news has come out on the goal tender interference issue. So many times I get called for goal tenders for no reason I score with no contact made and the man in the black and white feels the need to take my goal away and whack 2 minutes on the board. On the other hand sometimes the goalie gets cleaned up, then scored on with no call being made, but everyone knows about this. In most hockey leagues IRL the goal tender generally gets the benifit on the doubt.

Was just wondering if anyone has heard anything.

In no way am I bitching about NHL 13 I am so happy with the changes they have made and I am counting the days till the game comes out but I just couldn't find anything on this issue....... may have to wait for the demo but if anyone has any news on this I would love to read it

Thanks,

Re: Goal tender interference

I'd like to know this as well, but nothing has been released.

Another issue that often occurs in NHL 12 is that interference with the goalie that takes away a goal isn't always called as a 2 minute penalty

I haven't really seen this issue. I thought they did a pretty good job with the goaltender interference calls.

I'd like to see goalies 100% live though. It still feels like he has a protective bubble around him sometimes and you cannot run into him.

The goalie's teammates should be able to run into him by accident also!

I agree, I think it was pretty well implemented with one exception:

You get penalized when opposing players push you into the goalie a lot. This needs to be tweaked a bit and they were still some situations where the interference didn't register and goals counted or vice versa when phantom interference was called that incorrectly waived off goals.

Hopefully they took at least a small look into improving this.

Re: Goal tender interference

Worst part of NHL 12 in my view was the goalie interference calls. Sometimes you'd be driving the SIDE of the net (5 ft off) anticipating a one-timer and you'd get sucked into the net like a vacuum for a 2min penalty. That shouldn't happen and it needs to be stopped.

I personally thought the live goalie had more cons than pros last year.
