NHL 16 Cannot Find Opponent Online VS XB1

I'm having an issue when I try to play someone on XB1 in Online VS play. I get the error cannot find opponent, however, it says thousands of people are playing. I'm also getting this error in FIFA 16 as well. In H2H play or Ultimate Team I cannot find an opponent. However, when I join a drop-in game in EASHL, it works fine...

I've tried restarting my modem but still haven't had any luck.

Has anyone experienced this problem before? Is it a larger issue with EA servers?
