The EA Canada facility is also familiar with the Frostbite Engine as fifa 17 and 18 are on it. The UFC devs might not have worked on those games but the studio has plenty of knowledgeable people on board.

Working on the Ignite engine for a third iteration in a row comes with its benefits but the ceiling for possibility and performance is hands down Frostbite advantages. It's simply better
Yeah, you make a good point. Frostbite is definitely an engine with huge potential, as we've seen with Battlefield and now FIFA. Not only that, it can do fantastic graphics at 60fps, which might give us the best of both worlds. The EA guys being happy with the graphics, and us being happy with the fluidity.

Battlefield 1 runs on Frostbite. That engine will do. Incredible game. They made up for BF4's launch with that game.

I read somewhere live is using ignite engine.

Good. I think a new engine would've meant a step back in a series that we don't even know if there will be a fourth game.

Why? A new engine doesnt mean they have to scrap animations. The Frostbite engine in Fifa 17 is primarily for graphics and frame rate improvements.

Pretty sure they said they were moving all to it as well. Thought it was an E3 though.
