Controller locked?

I wanted to be able to use all user teams in cup mode and still be able to have the computer control one of them. I want to do this to be able to edit teams tactics before the game starts. I know there's a coach mode feature but this only allows both teams to go into coach mode. So the CPU plays against itself. Is there any way to only have one user in coach mode so you can choose between what team you want to play as? Btw it's still impossible to slide controller to the middle so CPU takes over.

So you want to play against the AI for each game? I'd try creating a custom competition and setting the "users" to the number of teams in the cup. That way you can control any team you'd like.

Not sure if it's possible outside of a custom competition.
