SWARM PULL IN #39 CLASS IN NATION AFTER 9-4 SEASON

19 man class led by prized tailback Berry, DE Allen

Thing are definitely looking up for Westlake State football. After freshman phenom Joey Williams stepped in and won the Maxwell award, leading his squad to 9 wins on the way, the Swarm have just landed a class that could prove to be the foundation for a very successful run. 10 incoming players are expected to get serious playing time this coming season.

4* tailback Jason Berry could be something special. The former #1 recruit's stock has fallen after being kicked out of school twice, but he ran all over Ohio HS defenses last season. The 6'1, 235 pounder reportedly runs a 4.44 40, and has the size and strength to shrug off would-be tacklers. He'll compete with Shakif Seymour, and incoming JUCO soph Travis Thompson for the role of lead back.

Here is the list of players who will be changing positions for this upcoming season, along with the reasons why.

ATH Chad Cotton to WR

Could play QB, but we already have Joey. Good size, very agile, good all round receiver skills.

ATH Gregory Black to CB

Fast, great man coverage ablity.

ATH Chance Skinner to WR

He'll play some tailback for us, but not slippery enough with the ball to be one full time. Also has enormous potential at WR.

ATH Alan Williams to WR

Tall with good speed. Not fast enough for me to want him at safety.

CB Kai Ekewaka to FS

Can cover, not an awful tackler. Not fast enough at his size to play corner.

We're gonna compete for the MAC title for sure.

Williams was crazy good, singlehandedly made us a decent team. He plays above his ratings.

I feel like Chance Skinner will end up in a situation where he can make or break our season on one play. I'll bet that happens some time in the next 4 years.

Skinner had the speed but ive got a feeling Cotton might be the better WR over the 4 years. Definately stockin up on receiver with the Juco also.

LIke the look of reggie coles too, shame only get 2 years.
