Just some food for thought; why not release the TW games when the golf season is starting (I don't think golf starts until the Masters, not at some unneccessary tournaments in January and February). If they released the game in the spring it would make sense in a few ways:
1) The above mentioned start of the golf season. My interest in golf is always sky-high, even in the deep 6 month freeze here in Canada, but the general public forgets about golf come September. Release the games to coincide with the Masters, and a perfect tie-in in the first year would be if they were ever able to get the license to use Augusta in their game.
2) The game wouldn't get lost in the shuffle of so many great fall releases, like it does now. Even on this site of hardcore sports gamers, I read alot of posts saying "I'll Gamefly TW and will buy _______ and _______ instead".
3) It would give EA a sports release in that quarter. After MVP in February/March, there is nothing on the EA Sports radar until NCAA in July. This would give them a more balanced release schedule.
On second thought, this just makes too much sense. It'll never work.
