The guy scanned it and it came up $34.99. He told me it was because it was a limited edition. I didn't argue. Plus it was buy 2 get 1 free. Craigslist here I come. Lol. Figure I will make about $60 profit this weekend for my gaming habits

My guess would be that they were supposed to put that price on last year's version but somebody messed up. I would think it's limited to your store rather than a national thing. Obviously, there's no way that any store is intentionally choosing to cut the price in half 4 days after it was released. But I do love the employee's understanding of what "limited edition" means.

That's what happened I guarantee it. I went up to my Target and collectors edition has a red tag 2 for 1 but price is 69.
