tiger woods 14 demo simulation mode discussion
Hey guys just wanted to get your thoughts, tips etc on the simulation mode in tiger 14. I like the overall direction they are taking at this difficulty level. I am really enjoying the challenge, and I like quite of a bit of the implementation of the new features. I am not crazy about the lack of information in this mode, yardages, inability to read a putt from behind the hole, having to draw or fade a wedge is pretty unorthodox but it does give the game way more replay value being more difficult. I also am not crazy about them nerfing the putting, it is way less penal on the hardest setting than last year, but I am hoping in the retail version with fast greens hitting the putt too short, or long based on the length of my swing is more prevalent. It was very satisifying in 13 getting the speed right based on how sensitive the swing was .
My hat is off to EA though in spite of little nuances I think could have been better, its great to see them recognize that there is a sim community that needs to have a better replication of the real sport and enjoys the grind and reward that is golf.
I do have a big question though, with the strike meter on analog fade and being removed when i manipulate it, how to i achieve good contact? If it is defaulting to strike on the left half of the ball do I need to aim right? How do i actually get under the ball when I cant get the cursor down there? Anyone with a better understanding of the strike meter as a whole with any feedback would be helpful, i want to play on this mode and not change to analog strike that would change the difficulty to custom
Any thoughts appreciated
