Wink Kudos to EA: Madden NFL 24 sets new sales records!

I just read that Madden NFL 24 has set some sales records and shown an uptick of engagement online of 36%!

I say job well done by EA, they have produced one of the best, if not the best, games of videogame football in Madden 24.

This was a make or break year for Madden they said and it's come through.

This bodes well for the NFL renewing their contract with them as well.

Re: Kudos to EA: Madden NFL 24 sets new sales records!

Went through my 10 hr and played the free weekend. I must admit, the gameplay is just perfect. I feel like they finally got it right with everything other than penalties. I wish I could put $70 to only support the effort that's happening, but I don't think I'm ready to pay full price just yet (haven't legitimately bought Madden since M20).

I think this iteration gave me that feeling of excitement that I haven't felt in a while with Madden. It's on its way to being a great game, but there are still things that bug me and prevent me from not waiting till the gamepass release. Injuries, weather, penalties, presentation/commentary, "everything you see on Sundays" aspect, etc. are still are bugs me. So now that they have the gameplay in the right spot, I see them focusing on all that plus QOL things and Franchise next year

Madden finally feels like it's back on track though. EA, keep Dueces' influence going

Re: Kudos to EA: Madden NFL 24 sets new sales records!

I will have to disagree with you on this one. This will be the 2nd year in a row where I'll either not buy Madden or wait until it's 50% off. There are still far too many legacy bugs in the game. Penalty sliders don't work. Auto subs dont' work. Draft classes are bugged. Progressive lighting does not work. West coast game times are coded as east coast, etc. So many stupid small bugs which have ZERO reason to not have been addressed. I mean, East coast time for West coast games, come on man! Pure laziness

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣. I kinda hate it now, Gilmore and Diggs has ridiculous numbers of interceptions in 11 games i played in franchise mode. They has 17 and 12 after I decreased human sliders for interceptions is zero and they keep making more interceptions

Change one of their abilities. They each have both ‘Pick Artist’ and ‘Acrobat’ which is a pretty ridiculous combination IMO, especially Acrobat. Acrobat can generate some over the top INT’s, too often.

Abilities are overall a plus for the game, but they can still be overpowered sometimes.

Re: Kudos to EA: Madden NFL 24 sets new sales records!

I have zero reason to pump EA up, God knows I've been critical in the past, but for me
24 is the best football videogame I've ever played. I know 2k had better presentation, I know there are still warts present, but I am having a blast and the gameplay is finally dynamic enough that it doesnt have that old stuck in a rut repetetive feel to it. Doesn't hurt I also am on PC and have a bunch of amazing mods too.
