MUT/Draft Champions are useless features

I am probably in the minority on this one. I have been playing sports video games since the tecmo bowl days. Maybe it's me and the times have changed so much that time has literally and figuratively passed me by.

Madden Ultimate Team and the upcoming Draft Champions features are scams and a waste of time. I love fantasy football but card collecting and 3 player tiered drafting are not real features for a football video game. Fantasy draft in season mode covers that aspect enough. EA uses these time consuming major features as the hook for their games now and seems to be a cash cow for them.

Real features would be a fully fledged create a team feature. Which involves creating your own playbooks, uniforms etc... That's what makes the game more user friendly and it is more fun when it comes to consuming time.

Instead of the developers wasting time on recycled fantasy draft spinoffs which are limited to begin with. Time should have been spent on features that aid the game play and presentation. Camera angles are cool but madden games don't feel like you are immersed in a real nfl season. No pre or post game shows, no halftime shows, no highlights shows. Madden is a dissapointing video game franchise that year in year out feels like a scam.

The NFL probably doesn't allow EA to put in Create-A-Team...as it was a feature in the NCAA series.


Also....you can already make your own playbook.
