Madden Needs a Customizable Online Season Mode

One of my favorite experiences in a football game was a small, 8 man league for APF 2K8 here on OS. No Twitter feed, no XP, just games and stats. I enjoyed the simplicity of it and would love to see something similar in Madden.

I briefly participated in a couple of leagues this year and they were cool for the most part, but keeping 32 people on the same page and invested in it for a long time is tough to do. Having the option to set the league size and run one-and-done seasons would be a fantastic addition.

You can set a league size...anywhere between 1 and 32. And you can only play one season as well. Just start a new one after you finish.

So I can create a league with 8 or 16 user teams and no CPU teams? I was not aware of that if that's the case. I want to be able to customize the total structure, not be bound to a Connected Franchise system.

Ex:

1.Buffalo
2. Miami
3. Chicago
4. Cleveland
5. Washington
6. Carolina
7. Tampa Bay
8. Seattle

I'd want the option to be able to have a league with friends using only those teams and nothing else, if I chose to do so. I probably didn't explain what I was looking for well enough in the first post.
