User player-type settings in Scheme: Defensive Ends/Edge

I saw in JohnC’s setup thread that switching the DE setting to balanced MAY result in more dynamic animations happening more often.

My question is this: has there been any evidence that there is a particular setting in scheme that will cause more edge pressure? In the NFL the thing you see the most from de/edge players is an outside rush, with the tackle trying to push them completely around the qb. You do NOT see the stonewall patty cake and spin in place stuff the game has in the NFL all that much.

So I am trying to get more edge pressure from both user DEs and CPU DEs. Are there settings in scheme (or anywhere else, including ratings) that will help with that?

MAY is the operative word...which even in my thread is the reason why I include it as a recommendation...if I am wrong, that is fine because it also removes any potential boost like you seemingly get for some of the scheme settings.

In theory, if we assume that they do indeed impact the play on the field, then setting the DEs to 'Speed Rusher' would be the most logical setting for you to try out.

But like with all settings in Madden. it's very much relative to all of your other settings. Some slider settings could 'drown out' those types of impacts, if they are there.
