That's what I thought. Penalties can't be overturned. But this one was.
It wasn't ruled if it was a catch or not. It was ruled a catch, mainly because I caught the ball ten yards earlier, and also because I got the ball at my own 41 yard line, which is where I went out-of-bounds on my own before I got hit. After accepting the penalty, I got the ball at the other 44.
Then the booth decided to look at the penalty and they overruled it, and I was back at the 41.
Must be some screwy programming that came with patch 2 and the horrible sideline "2-5 feet in might be out-of-bounds" calls.
Perhaps patch 2 programming triggers a booth challenge under 2 minutes when a catch, interception or fumble happens near the sideline, and penalties near the sidelines got thrown in with the mix.
