Ps4 and madden 14

EA is a titan in the gaming world, they surely have had the dev kits as long as anyone else.

Really I think it boils down to their financials to pushing out the title at that time, as August and November are in different financial quarters. If they need a boost to Q4 and feel they could get it from what they have made in NG Madden so far, then it wouldn't surprise me to see a Madden title launch with PS4.

I was thinking about this topic a couple days ago, for next-gen consoles in general not just the PS4. I am an eternal optimist and my hope for Madden rest on there being something completely different about G4 Madden than G3, like G3 was different than G2. I finally paid attention to Kolbe Launchbaugh's OS avatar noting that he is in fact the Creative Director for Madden on the new consoles. I hope after the admitted fiasco that was M06 and all the times EA Tiburon has publicly claimed to have learned their lesson, that even the first Madden on new consoles will be a solid foundation for a football simulation game.

I am so ready to put these last going on 9 wasted NFL gaming years behind me and hopefully M14 for G4 will begin that process.

The NFL agreement may not be structured the same way the MLB one was.

If not just cross-platform, the PS4 and xbox720 both possibly having backwards compatibility would be most appreciative - by gamers and coders alike. That way, no company has to expect to code absolutely for the new systems just yet, and we gamers don't have to expect we're getting stripped down titles the whole first year of releases.

Madden is a serious system mover. Indeed I know at least two people who bought a PS3 to play it specifically.

like someone already said, it will be a port of the ps3/360 versions. It may look slighty better graphically and thats it. I think EA won't drastically change the game in Madden 15. I think they believe the infinity engine is something they can build upon. This is why they had the article about "learning their lesson" from 06 trying to have two seperate dev teams building two different games.

Just all of the built in functionality will be a big boon to Madden and other sports games, like the ability to watch others play games live, being able to live stream and record/upload footage, etc.

...and that's before any improvements that go into the next iteration.
