How do you remove cap penalties in a dynasty in madden 10?

Game mode-franchise-new. But I think there's an option to clear it during the off season period but not sure when. I just had to restart a franchise cause I couldn't resign anybody due to some horrendous trades. Oh and instead of signing a te to the minimum I signed him to a 7 year deal worth over 100 million dollars. I was the browns.

First you need to switch all USER options to CPU in franchise options.You cant clear cap penalties until the first game of the preseason when you have positions of needs and you dont have anymore money, a screen will come up asking if you want to clear cap penalties.

You were able to remove cap penalties in previous games.

What's the literature on cap penalties in the real NFL?

I assume you can't actually clear cap penalties because you feel like it.

ya you have to wait till the first preseason game.
