How about online superstar mode?

What do you guys think about an online superstar mode up to 4 or 5 guys can play as there own created players on different teams and see who has the better career. Maybe as a free agent you can end up on the same team as one or more of your friends. What do you guys think?

That reminds me of NBA 2k11. That being said, I loved that part about 2k11. I think if the madden guys could implement it right, it would without a doubt be awesome. I think they should have this instead of online team play if you ask me.

I've sorta wondered why EA has not tried to bring over something like the EASHL or the FIFA 11-on-11 online mode over to Madden. I suppose the foremost problem is that no one would want to play offensive line. If they could find a way to make blocking fun then this could be interesting.

There would be way too much lag. In football its a game of inches and reaction. Lag is exactly why i dont play online. Would be cool if they could do it without lag, but no matter how good everyone's connection is...there will always be lag.

My understanding is that FIFA plays 11-on-11 online with very limited lag. Some multiplayer console shooters can accommodate up to 64 players on a map, and many do 16, 24, or 32, depending on the game.

The lag problem will be an issue online, it always is, and granted I'm not big into online gaming in general unless I'm playing with friends, but I don't think lag is such a big issue that it would prevent the functioning of the mode altogether.

even if u can get the game play 11 on 11 the problem is this when people start to lose they quit i play team play a lot when other team make 1 mistake like throw 1 pick they quit very few people stay play the whole game im pro one the few that stay matter what i could be few points or a lot i stay and could be the other way around i could be losing by a lot i never quit so how can u have 3 on 3 and even think to have 11 on 11 when 3 on 3 hardly ever 3 on 3 every one stays specila when they losing


but for superstar it be cool if u could play on the same team as your friend or something

Football is not like Hockey, Soccer or Basketball... online co-op won't work ! I've said this before and it was proven last year. I even made a post not to long ago asking how everyone was liking online co-op and like 3 people replied and they weren't real happy with it. Its just not good no matter how hard they tried to make it look like fun last year with there online videos . I'd love to see their (real) numbers on online co-op last year but they will never show us. Online Co-op = FAIL. Wasted development time that could have been spent on online/offline franchise mode... IMO!

I enjoyed playing online co-op in Madden last year. Never had a problem with it. I never lag in any other games, and here as of late, that is the same with EA games. EA's servers used to be bad, but they seem a lot better. 2k11 is the only game I can think of where I see noticeable lag.
