2K9 or The Show

I'm a long time Show fan, but wondering this year as to get The Show or 2K9. Which one will you guys be getting and why???

The Show. It is a proven product. Its a risk free buy. 2K has been disapointment for years. Theres no reason to change. The Show is the best sports game ever.

I am hoping that we have 2 baseball games to get this year. It has been a while since that has happened.

I would say if I have to choose one it would be The Show. After playing a short season on MLB2k8 it really plays good baseball. I am on PS3 so framerate can be painful especially at Wrigley (I couldnt choose the Cubs because its really bad) with that said I will probably get both.

The Show without a doubt. It is proven and will only get better.

That said, I liked 2K7 as well. So if they can get 2K9 back on track, and not just focus on "cut-away" gimmicks, then I will be looking to try it out as well.

Im a huge mark for sig-styles and game play. The sig styles in 2K are top notch, and the game play with the right sliders is good enough to satisfy me. The Show may have the better game play but the sig styles make you feel like you're playing RBI baseball or something.

The real question is....Why would someone who has played both games even think about getting 2K over the Show? The only question is if you should get 2K along with the Show.

Agreed. This is a no brainer for me. The Show has the fundamentals of baseball down and excellent gameplay. 2K hasn't been very close in recent years IMO.
