A letter to 2k Sports
I'm so irritated you haven't included a hitting reticle option anywhere in the game, especially when your most successful baseball game in YEARS, is MLB POWER PROS, and every one of the 2k baseball games have been huge flops year after year. At what point do think you would connect the dots? MLB feat KEN GRIFFEY on the 64 is regarded as one of the best baseball games of all time, and yes, it is more arcade style, but so is a gimmicky swing stick. I'd say, throw in a option in the menus to turn on a hitting/pitching reticle.
MLB the show, is untouchable when it comes to creating a baseball SIM... so quit trying. Accept the other side of the market and address an arcade style game.. (even via options menu)... i have zero interest in the SWING SYSTEM and your "new physics" bs. IF you had a hitting reticle and EVERYTHING else about the game was the same? It'd be the BEST baseball experience in years.
Pay attention 2k. Your BEST BASEBALL GAME, is cartoon characters with no legs... BECAUSE the hitting system is way more fun.
Screw next years game and ideas, how about doing it RIGHT for a change. And the way you're going about these games, who knows if you'll even be around next year.
