Classic Hitting/Pitching online play

When I go to play online in MLB Online I check my settings and they are both set to Classic Hitting/Pitching. However when I get into the actual online game, it is set to Total Control for both hitting and pitching. I even loaded my settings. Is there anyway to switch to Classic on online play? I tried changing it in the menu while in the game but it won't let me do it.

Only the total controls are usable for online matches. Classic settings are prohibited.

The inability to use classic controls is the only reason why I don't play online.

They should allow that option. Although I prefer the total controls because they give me more feel for the game, they should allow both controls for online play. I don't think one is advantageous over the other in terms of production...

didnt they have a classic hitting and pitching lobby the past few years? or did they take that out?

best thing to do if thats gone, set up a custom league of your own online. set it to classic batting/pitching.. find some guys on here or elsewhere online, and play that way. not perfect, but at least you guys could play games online using the way you want to play.

They took leagues out of this year's version.
