Not a bad start for Severino, very good K/BB ratio, 7/0, 5 ip 1 ER and take away Headley error and those extra pitches he might have put up 6 shutout innings. I will take that as a good first start moving forward

I know I'm late but I actually like this deal. It's very low risk. I mean look at the second basemen they have right now. The worst in the league. Ackley was a decent second basemen, better than drew. He's a decent defender, and maybe a change of scenery is good. I mean the guy was the second overall pick five years ago. He has potential. Do I think he'll be great? No probably not, but I like taking low risks on guys with potential than buying high on a guy who's having the best stretch of his career. It's a nice little move. Although I wish they had done more. I think Cashner could've been a great buy low guy but obviously that didn't happen. Servino looks pretty good tonight though.

I was impressed. If not for the Headley error, I'd say he had a great game. Regardless, it was a very good debut.

Exactly, I don't see why they don't try Ackley there. It can't be worse than it is now.
