SCEA - quick question on editor

Brian/Chris,

I am sure this is out of both of your domains, but figured I'd ask anyway.

is there any chance that you guys could release just a basic Player Global Editor as an add-on download for anyone who wanted it? Just a tool that allows us to edit all the players in the league by certain criteria.

For instance, if we wanted to reduce OF Arm Strength by either a % or number of "clicks", we could specify that and then hit "Run" and it would do so on the roster file we load up.

Nothing detailed...nothing too complex. But something that would save the roster making guys and tweakers, possibly dozens of hours getting more and more out of your great game.

Just curious if something like a basic player editor would ever be possible. I know 3rd party guys can do this if they ever crack the file structures, but on next gen consoles that is much harder than it was on the pc.

Thanks for any help or assistance.

I asked about this right before 08 dropped. I was told it would be put on the list for 09. That just means they would look into it not that it was going to be in 09. So at least it will be on the table for discussion.

capa,

I wouldn't know if it's already in consideration, so this is just my own comment. If things go according to plan, there may be a time and place for feedback depending on our schedule. I welcome you to reiterate this then. That's best in fairness to everyone and avoids opening the floodgates before we're not ready schedule-wise to give it the consideration it clearly deserves.

I may be able to come up with a much better solution for you depending on your needs, but I'm not going to jump the gun or jump to conclusions yet. There are hurdles and competing priorities.

Thanks,
Brian
