Spring Training

Quick question before starting my PSP franchise. Is there any point to playing the spring training games. Does playing them effect player progression for the minor leaguers or anything like that?

Thanks.

Re: Spring Training

ST doesn't effect progression on the PS3 version, so I'm going to assume its the same on the PSP.

I use ST purely to get used to the game and thats it. I may after the first year use it to get accustomed to new pitchers, but that would be the extent.

It can also be used to test your prospects. It is good being able to get a feel for how your big prospects are coming along without having to waste an option.

Re: Spring Training

I was going to skip spring training after I restarted my franchise with the new rosters, but then I decided to use it as a tryouts for my roster. Since it is just a computer game and I don't feel like I have to follow the season verbatim, I thought it would be cool to give the entire 40 man roster a chance of making the team.
