any chance for generated counts?

i've always been a fan and advocate for the generated counts. i think all-star baseball might be the only game ever to use it. obviously its just an option and the user can choose, but i think that it gives realistic pitch counts and walks while still being able to play games that dont last forever.

anyway...just seeing if anyone has heard anything about this in 09.

Front Page Sports baseball on the pc had the generated count option also. Generated counts really make the game go faster. I would welcome it if it were put in.

So did ASB.
IMO ..they did it the best.
They had the option before the game(and you could change it DURING THE GAME) to

Have a generated pitchers count(0-2/1-2/2-3)...batters count3-1/2-1 etc) ...random count(the one I used)...and then ANY set count(you set it and it was always the same.

Plenty of options.

They are where the game starts the batter off with a ball-strike count so that in most cases the play is decided on the next pitch(instead of going through every pitch...but occasionally a foul ball will force more pitches for the outcome).
It's to speed up the game for those that don't have time for a 1 1/2 hour game.

Back in the day, Earl Weaver baseball for the Amiga also had generated pitch counts.
