I wish this game provided a breakdown of exactly how you earn XP, and what you are doing in game that gets you said amount of XP. For example, say I hit two doubles in an inning, I would like to know how much each double amounted to in terms of XP gained. As of now, all you get is a "+XP" in the corner after each half inning. That tells me nothing. How does everyone else feel about this?

I really like the whole XP/leveling up idea, but I feel it can really be improved on in future versions with a breakdown of how you earn XP, and by keeping offline gameplay stats.

I don't really care. I'm going to play the same regardless, so however it rewards XP is fine by me. I agree it would be nice for them to flesh out the overall profile system though and if that includes a breakdown of how XP is awarded, then cool. Personally, what I would like to see is a breakdown of my performance, stats, and tendencies so I can spot trends, etc-kind of a self-scouting, I suppose. I'm guessing this is simply phase 1 of the the new profile system though.

I agree, how bout a purpose behind getting the XP?

The purpose of the XP is to build Profile points for future MLBTS games.
So in '14 you can look at your '13 player history and so on.

Its basically the same as the online XP but its for your universal profile.

In the blog it said it was the beginning infrastructure for things to come in the future. So this is not the end goal for what we see in 13.

That means that all XP earned in 13 should carry over to 14 right? Almost sounds like a battlelog type deal of what EA did. If we could log on to a site and track all our stats, that would be dope.
