Year to Year Saves: Is a draft expansion needed?

A potential problem, which I'll give the SCEA credit for hopefully thinking about already, is that if the draft is still only 5 rounds, we're soon going to not have enough players to field realistic minor league rosters.

Isn't the draft still at 5 rounds in MLB 13?

Why would that be?

Is he thinking each team adds 5 new people a year?

I don't know.....

My guess is that you have to either save at the end of the off season or at a certain point after the draft and that save can be used to go forward.

My question is how OSFM is going to work with YTY saves?

If I carry over my Franchise from MLB14 to MLB15, I wont be able to incorporate OSFM15 into my Franchise and I wont be able to procure the new 2015 MLB Rookies.

Unless they crack the code to incorporate rosters into saves.

Re: Year to Year Saves: Is a draft expansion needed?

Sorry for the confusion. I'm talking about franchise mode being transfered from one year's game to the next:

MLB has a 40 round draft for about 8 minor league teams total (5 players per team per draft, on average)
MLB Show has a 5 round draft for a AAA, AA, and A team.

We're going to have teams with not enough players. I guess since the A team is inactive it will help a bit, but I still see this being a long-term problem.

Perhaps the game will generate some "late round/walk-on" type guys?

Currently....no.
IF they attempt to give us FRANCHISE player imports....no problem.

I REALLY hope they add in importing players into existing franchises. This would bring year to year saves to another level.
(also being able to import draft classes)

Editable draft classes would be nice as well. If they did something similar to 2k you can create quite a few draft classes from the main roster screen and load them into a franchise before you start.
