Does MLB 13 have the correct season schedule for 2014?

Hey everybody. I haven't played the show on PS3 since the 09 version and I'm thinking of getting 13 on the cheap. I like to just play a season on these games so I was wondering if 13 had the correct schedule for the upcoming 2014 season? In past versions it would only be correct for the current season the game was released but I thought I'd ask. I'd really rather not pay full price for this years game considering it's not going to be much different from last years. Plus at least one person on here is going to be doing updated rosters for 13 too. So I'm leaning towards a new copy of 13 so I could use the Vault as opposed to 14. Any thoughts on that, or is anybody else doing this too? Thanks for reading and answering!

I'm talking about the PS3 version of 13 compared to the PS3 version of 14.

I am not sure if the 2014 schedule inside of MLB 13 is the same as the real world 2014 schedule. But to get to the 2014 schedule you will need to sim or play the 2013 schedule first and the game will auto retire a bunch of players once the 2013 schedule ends. So even if you have a an accurate roster set now, it won't be all that accurate once you get to the 2014 schedule in the game.

Back in January I downloaded a modified OSFM roster set which had the majority of the 2014 players on their correct teams (I have had to tweak the rosters as there has been free agent signings and season ending injuries since I downloaded this roster set), and I am in the last week of Spring Training now and am seriously toying with the idea of playing a second 2013 schedule with MLB 13 instead of buying MLB 14. Money isn't my only reason, but saving a little $$$ is on my mind. Now there are some downsides to restarting 2013 again. I have already played the 2013 schedule last year, and the players who changed teams lose their pictures (really not a big issue). But MLB 13 is a great game and I am still having fun with it. This says a lot about how good the game is. Of course I am sure MLB 14 will be just as good if not better.

That's correct. The first draft of the next season's schedule isn't even released until August of the current year. Meaning next season's schedule won't take shape until this August and so forth.

Yeah the answer is definitely a no as the 2014 schedule isn't even completed until the end of the 2013 season and the game you're talking about was released in March of 2013.

I think you're looking at something entirely different as '14 is definitely different than '13.
