Sim Stats

Has anyone simulated up to 10 years in franchise or season mode? Do stats get inflated as the years go by? In MLB 13 once you hit your 5 season guys would start putting up unreal numbers. You would have 10 different guys hitting over 330. with 40 home runs. Is this still an issue?

Re: Sim Stats

Just got done simming through 2020. Offense numbers actually go down. Atleast for this franchise. I did one prior and saw alot more offense.

Here are some numbers..

2020

AL MVP Shelby Miller 17-5 2.97 256 K's (Didn't even win Cy) Also won the MVP and CY in 2019
2nd place Chris Davis 270 38 112
3rd Jose Abrue 288 35 111

NL MVP D. Mendez 315 35 106
2nd Kershaw 18-5 2.72 226
3rd Bryce Harper 276 35 100

AL CY Alec Schulz 21-7 2.88 141
NL CY Kershaw

AL Batting title 1st .305, 2nd .298 3rd .297
NL Batting title 1st 315, 2nd 312, 3rd .302

Top HR AL Stanton 42 (only one other player in league with over 40)
NL Mendez 35, Bryce Harper 35

15 players have over 100 RBI's (2013 real life there was 13 with over 100 RBI's.)

Re: Sim Stats

Those numbers actually don't look bad....I could definitely live with that compared to the issues last year...

Re: Sim Stats

Yea those numbers seem pretty good to me. Better than having everyone rack up hall of fame numbers for sure.

Re: Sim Stats

Unusually high K rate for a single pitcher but otherwise very good. Closest to 2011s real life stats from the look of it.

Teams pitching staffs were K'ing guys at a very high rate last year, so Im glad to see MLBTS has taken this into account. Last year there sim stats were awful and basically broken.

I think with more an more PED testing is probably having some effect and probably will continue to as less and less guys trying to juice, so K's will probably higher and ERA down to what they have been.

Although in baseball things go in a cycle and I think right now were back into a pitchers dominating for a while anyway. There are a lot of young good arms in the majors right now along with quite a few in the minors that look good.

Re: Sim Stats

When's the last time someone broke 250 strikeouts though? One of Roger Clemens Cy Young seasons maybe? You'd have to have at least above 9 K/9 and throw 230+ innings.

Yu Darvish had 277 strikeouts in 209 innings last year. Justin Verlander had 270 or something like that in 2009. I'm not saying it's common, but it does happen from time to time.
