Injury Question

So, I am very early into playing my franchise with the Giants and I had an injury situation occur in back-to-back games that has me a bit concerned and I wanted to see if I am just being paranoid or if there is a greater issue.

In consecutive games I had players need to leave the game and be replaced due to injury (Tim Hudson one game and Angel Pagan the next). In both instances when the game was over and I went back to the main menu screen of my franchise the players were completely healthy with no injury listed of any kind.

Before I get too deep into my franchise, I just want to make sure that players who get injuried in-game do actually (at least on some occasions) end up being hurt for some length of time beyond just the rest of that game. Has anyone lost a player thus far for a couple of days? A couple of weeks, months or even the season?

For what it is worth, I am playing with the Release Day patch (version 1.01) and using the Release Day Live Rosters.
