Re: MLB the Show22 Switch talk

Bit the bullet on the show for Switch OLED. I love it. Feels like back when I had a Vita and cross played. Couple thoughts.

Did they reduce the crowd to help frame rate? None of my DD games are full. Haven't played a regular game yet. Frame rate can drop. It's noticeable mostly on walk offs for me.

Hitting and pitching does not suffer. Timing took some getting used to after being on PS4 then PS5.

Graphics are good for what it is. I didn't have high expectations after the tech test. Mostly blind support for to SDS with trust they've acquired overtime. I don't regret the purchase one bit. Great for a road trip, great for playing in bed. There's work to be done, but welcome to the Switch MLB the Show.

I have been playing the switch version more then my xbox version lol

I'm really enjoying it, and it plays very well. You have a switch get it.

The game is still a little rough around the edges graphic wise but plays a great game of baseball. And it is great playing The Show on the go again.

How is it in handheld mode? That is what I would be buying it for to play my save on the go.

It plays real good in handheld mode. I got it on Gamepass as well but really have only been playing it on my switch so far. The graphics aren't obviously as good but they are passable and it still plays the same great game of baseball. So I would recommend it if you want a portable baseball game.

Re: MLB the Show22 Switch talk

first impression on handheld mode on an OLED switch:

I’ve only tried offline but gameplay feels good. I’m used to hitting on MLB 15 camera but it’s a touch too small for my old eyes. (Even on OLED) I’m going to have to move to strike zone 2 or a custom camera.

Lack of anti aliasing is quite noticeable on some of the more zoomed out stadium shots. I noticed some stutter on some of the non-gameplay animations (broadcast animations) but the gameplay/pitched ball feels smooth which is really all I care about.

Graphics and gameplay on the Switch is pretty good.

Think about how cool it is you can take your MLB world on the road. No, the Switch is not the PS5, but it’s pretty darn good.

What modes support cross progression(RTS, DD, M2O, Dynasty, etc.)? I can't seem to find a definitive answer other than that 22 has it.
