Is private team up confirmed for 2k16?

I've noticed All Star Team Up referenced but not private team up with regular teams. Can anyone confirm this is still in the game?


I used to buy Madden for OTP and they wouldn't give me an answer before release when they took it out last year.

The option to play private team up games has been in 2K for a number of years now. It's a pretty safe bet that it will be in again this year, but no, I haven't seen it 100% confirmed anywhere.

Madden pulled OTP because it was a fairly new addition and one that wasn't popular enough for them to continue, in their opinion. I don't think you have to worry about that with team up in 2K.

Has it been? I thought it was new in 2k15. I remember 2k14 and before we always had to search for hours to get a private game going, because so many other people, often times people who brought great lag to the game, were put in our games...

Private team ups have been in the game since 2K10, if I remember correctly. I normally get 3-4 friends and play other randoms, so I don't play a lot of private games. However, I distinctly remember playing a couple private games in 2K14.

Back in 13 and 14 lastgen you could play 3 on 3 private matches and if you only had (say 2 people) they'd give you 4 random NBA players.

It was so useful to play against another human player and test out dribbles, post moves, shots, etc..

I hope it comes back and it would definitely be good for competitive games.
