Is it just me or anyone getting bored about their MyPlayer after 1-2 seasons and start over with a new player? I have 6 careers already and none of them are beyond second season.

Finally got Bronze Ankle breaker badge lol. I got it after the 3 assists off of double moves in 1st quarter. Then got Acrobat badge soon after that. Only other badge Im really working on is Lob City Passer.
Since i got the badges I really wanted, I can play the way how i want without cheesing for badges. But I want to get to my 2nd season. I have 100% plans resigning with 76ers. I just want to see Progression of current teammates.
Covington, Embiid, McConnell, Okafor, Holmes, Splitter, Anderson are all on a team option, besides Splitter on one year deal. So it would be easy to say team would look different. But all the options are cheap. We will have 70 mil in Cap, so they could easily resign all. I don't see them picking up Anderson option. I don't see Splitter resigning. I would like for them to not pick up Okafor's and McConnell option. Both don't have good stats so hopefully not. McConnell isn't bad, but I don't like having him, me, and Justice on the court at once, too small. I don't mind Holmes, has a decent 3pt as a 7 footer and can block. We have a lot in cap that they can possibly sign some one really good. But we don't have a need since our starting lineup is good. If Simmons can stay healthy next year, we don't really need a backup SF if we pick up Covington's option. Just need a true backup SG. I would prefer a 6'5-6'8 SG/SF that is a 3 & D player on the bench. We also need a backup PF behind Saric. I would prefer someone similar. A stretch 4, but someone who is Athletic. I would like to get rid of Okafor and Splitter. Okafor is only good for posting up. Splitter has good decent defensive perimeter ratings, but that's about it. I would a backup center who is a good rebounder and paint defender. Because when Embiid goes on bench, we cant rebound and defend paint.
I'm sure Justice and Embiid wont really improve as much rating wise, I'm just hoping they get a lot more badges. Like Embiid only has 1 gameplay badge. I want to see him get Eraser, hustle rebounder, Alley Oop Finisher, a post badge. I expect Justice to get Lob City passer. I want him to get a couple 3pt badges, he misses a lot of easy shots. Simmons got injured early, but was performing well. I just hope he gets a couple badges. But I really want to see how Saric improves. It would be nice to see his rebound, pass vision, and 3pt rating go to 80+. I really like playing with him. Has the ability to stretch the floor to clear space for Embiid and has passing vision makes a big difference.

So if games become blowouts, I will sim to end of game. And if a game isnt followed by a Team Practice, I will sim the game. I want to get to the second season as fast as possible. Nothing really more to play for this season. Embiid pretty much has ROY locked down. I don't care how we do in playoffs(will sim anyway). Only badge I want is Lob City Passer, but not a big need for me. I can get HOF Dimer and Ankle Breaker next season. I have my player where I want him rating wise. I really just want to boost Draw Foul, but its random in practice. Don't care about Endorsements. Only 33 games left, so I want to get through them quick

The only career I enjoy playing for fun and not grinding is my playmaker PG (I have 5 myself, the rest I just grind when I need to). He seriously goes some games like 6-22 and takes the most shots because AI teammates swing it to him since teams sag off and he just shoots and shoots. The team also signed Jodie Meeks as if we didn't have enough two guards and of course Beverly is still there. Harden doesn't play like Harden at all and I call a lot of isos and pick and rolls for him but he'll turn it over or take jumpers far more than getting to the line like in real life. Smith is our only true PF, Capela is our C and leading the league in rebounding averaging 16. This is because the only other back up C is Ryan Hollins, who every time he's in, ends up rebounding and scoring well but he gets maybe 4 minutes if it's a blowout. There are times that Ariza or Brewer play C...with Smith in the PF spot.

I started this when the game first came out so maybe ratings are impacted by that and it'd be better with a new career (it sounds like it reading from those in here recently that started careers recently). Our record is 17-18 and I try to play realistically trying to keep it under 25 shots per game. It's hard to have fun when teammates come down and throw up threes in transition no matter their rating. Every career there's a teammate like that, some just hit better than others. I really hope this stuff is fixed in 2K18 and they bring back letting us be able to talk to the owners about who to possibly sign or trade for if you're struggling. I don't want to ask for another trade for myself, I just want the team to trade one of our logjam of SG's for a better back up C or a starting PF.

Well, for me the Point Forward SF and Paint Protector C are the ones I enjoy most. I created the Point Forward after the trade deadline deals and was drafted by the Nuggets but requested a trade and I am on the Hawks now. Bazemore is gone to the Nuggets and they also traded Muscala and Humphries for Wes Matthews. So our starting 5 is Justice, Wes, My Player, Millsap, Howard. I enjoy playing for the Hawks and we are leading the East. Still on the rookie season and 1 month left for the playoffs.

When trying to maximize your VC earning VS the computer, is it better to play on Hall of Fame, or Rookie and just destroy them, or does it just even itself out in the end?

This is NBA 2k17. Its beginning to happen even more frequently now and I still can't figure it out. Is there even a "contact us" or "tech support" link for 2k? Maybe I can get them to send the email again.

I ended up simming rest of the rookie season. Nothing else to really play for. I ended up winning ROY. I thought Embiid had it locked but stats must have dropped. I simmed playoffs lost in 1st round.
I resigned for a 3 year max. Most of the guys who were on options got picked up. But we managed to sign Paul Millsap for a 4 year max. I like the addition. Great perimeter defender and post defender, good rebounder, and post score. Moves Saric to 6th man. So chance that Millsap gets moved to SF, when Saric 1st comes in. As Expected Embiid got more badges. Like the PnR badges, Rim Protector, Lob City finisher. Justice has 19 badges. Will really help. I like the Corner Specialist, Limitless Range, Ankle breaker, Lob City Passer. Covington got Dead Eye Deep range.
Ben Simmons is still injured. Out 4-6 more weeks. All from a wide open layup lol. Didn't regress or improve. But i like the fit with Paul Millsap. I can switch Millsap on to better SF, and Simmons will still have size and speed to cover PF.
Embiid contract is up this season. With me and Millsap on Max deals, he might not resign. Also Saric is up too. I think we'll have 30 mill in space. Can't sign both. But one positive is that we still managed to get a high lottery pick, #6. It was a 7' C/PF, who has 83 3pt and 81 Mid Range. But funny that he does not get any minutes at all yet. We picked up Okafor contract(smh), but still signed Terrence Jones. I wished we got rid of both those guys and McConnell. So if we lose Embiid or Saric or both, that Rookie could fit in.

I think we will do great. I don't plan on playing every game. After the 5 game or so, I will start simming games. A month away from having Simmons back. I like Convington, but i like him off the bench. Until Simmons get back, I love our defense now with Millsap. We have the type of lineup where we could switch on defenders and be able to go against any lineup. Millsap can guard on perimeter and on post. Thats one thing Saric couldnt. I will miss Saric's passing ability though. He would always pass to the right person. But with last year, Covington never had the starting SF spot locked. Tended to lose minutes. I would love to see Saric at 4 and Millsap at 3. Even though spacing might be issue at times, both Saric and Millsap has ability to make a 3pt (both at 75). Millsap doesn't have the speed, but has the perimeter defense(85) to cover SF.
