In a 5vs5 tournament, when a player disconnected...AI will take over that player. You will not be able to switch player in 5vs5...you'll be stuck with that player that entire match. However, in an unranked 5vs5, you can choose to be any player on that team.

There is online league in which everything is integrated with NBA.com.
