2K10 V 2K11: A Comparison

I've read so many comments saying that 2K11 looks the same as last year and that there are just as many "canimations". Well, I believe the only way to truly show how much improvement has been made is by doing this. Here are two gameplay videos of similar length from both games.

2K10

2K11

Enjoy

Re: 2K10 V 2K11: A Comparison

For starters i don't think that the length of the video truly matters because the people who say they are similar find similar animations or similar positives/negatives that have been in both games. CLEARLY 2k11 is a tremendous improvement from it's previous title yet 2k10 can be described as a foundation for 2k11 so there will be some of the same mistakes. Anyone who believes that 2k11 is not much of an improvement merely does not have enough knowledge in both games and just sees the flaws. Of course the game can't be perfect with it's 'canimations' but some of those just can't be avoided unless you go the 'elite 11' route and add in physics because the dimensions and the technology behind the gameplay does not recognize the proper animation to use at that specific situation so it finds the 'best possible animation'. I hate when they happen but would you rather have a few canimations or elite 11? haha

The difference in the color is tremendous now seeing them side-by-side. So much more vibrant and realistic.

The difference all of the new passing animations make is very clear also. Moves and looks a lot more organic and fluid. Great job on the facial animations as well. If there's one thing that can't be leveled against 2K this year, it's "they all look like lifeless-zombies".

Any thoughts on the player size - court size ratio?

I personally feel that the players look bigger this year.

One thing is clear, whoever is the user in the 2K10 video really jacked up the on ball steal success rate.

thats because the Heat game is zoomed up a bit closer and if you look at the Jazz game you can see the 3rd row of the crowd at bottom of the screen...

compare it with the Orlando game which should be a better comparison...

The difference in movement is incredible.

Same with the quality of passing and just overall fundamentals (shot preparation, players moving their feet defensively).

Re: 2K10 V 2K11: A Comparison

I think you can't compare them right now simply because people have played 2K10 and haven't played 2K11. I wouldn't base a comparison solely on vids; with 2K10 video being the final code and 2K11 being a beta.

Just a thought.
