NBA 2K11 Icon Pass

Has anybody else notified/been bothered by the fact that the direct pass must be deactivated if you don't actually pass the ball after activation? This, as opposed to 2K10's direct pass timer, has really been screwing me up. I just don't know why 2K changed the direct pass. I've been a 2Ker for years and this new system is going to take some getting used to. Not saying I can't change, but why change the way it's been for years?

This reminds me of Madden's Strategy Pad.

actually...i works multiple ways...i think if you simply tap the right bumper, the icons will pop up and time out like before....if you hold down on the right bumper for more than 2 seconds, they will stay up as long as you are holding down and then disappear as soon as you release the bumper. i actually like it this way a lot...you can also keep holding down the right bumper to keep the icons up as long as you want and even after you make a pass you can keep holding down the right bumper and the icons will stay up...i'm loving it.

oh...i guess i was wrong..i guess if you tap the right bumper the icons just stay up until you pass...anyway, if you just hold the right bumper for a couple of seconds, you can just release it to make the icons go away.
