2k13 Xbox Surround Sound woes - Rears lower when the announce speaks

Surround Sound woes! My setup is properly calibrated Denon 7.2 system plugged into a Xbox 360 via HDMI.

While playing 2k13 - I've noticed that the ambient sound/crowd noise coming out of the rear speakers lower slightly every time the announcer speaks.

It sounds like the intention was to make the announcer sound "clear". The sound fluctuation is apparent in "DIRECT" mode on my receiver with no processing enabled so thats not to blame.

If I turn off the announcer everything sounds awesome.

Anyone else notice this? I couldnt find any audio settings in the game but my reciever is detecting a full 5.1 signal from the Xbox.

I have a 7.1 Sony surrond sound hooked upto my PS3, I haven't noticed ths on the PS3, but then again I've only played the game a few times so far. I'm curious to see if this happens on the PS3 also, I was just saying to myself last night how life like the arenas sound in the game hooked upto my sound system.

I have the Denon 2312CI and I had no problems until I changed from the 360 premium to the 360 slim, Im using a 1.4 High speed HDMI cable. which I didnt use before with the older 360. maybe its the cable.Im going to switch cables and see if that will work or try the Componet cables that comes with the 360

I have 5.2 surround and my sound is fine. maybe your system is on a quiet or night setting.

the .2 is bc I have 2 subs. this game is a BLAST when the crowd starts stompin der feet. it sounds like a thunderstorm when they do that. and the playoff atmosphere is sick. and then add custom arena sounds in and your in heaven. if you dont have surround GET IT. if i hard to start over I would buy a sound system first, bc of the benfits with movies too. especially action movies are any movies that have big effects.
