Defensive Settings crash online games?

Apologies if this has been posted before, but I couldn't find it anywhere. I believe that the reason online games crash so frequently (about 2/3 of my games so far) is that there is a bug when changing defensive settings. I've played (and lost) tons of games 0-0 in RTTP, usually after my opponent goes into the pause menu for a second. I just attempted to play now online twice. I got matched up against the same guy twice. The first game I tried to change some individual defensive settings after a minute or so of gameplay (play tight, etc), was done after a few seconds, went back into the game and it told me that an error had been encountered. The next game, I attempt to do the same in the first timeout of the game, I get the same error message while still in timeout.

I've had games before where I could change settings, not sure why I couldn't this time.

Yup, that's it.

Had the same issue in 2k15 already but then I was nearly the only one. Now everyone has it. Hope 2k is going to do something against it.

Coach Settings can crash games too btw!

Would be great if you'd report this to the 2k support, so they see, there is more than one user having this problem...

I'm certain this is what causes the crash, it's happened too often at this point. A friend of mine can change settings, however.

In 2k15 this sometimes happened with the sub menu. There are actually quite a lot of PC-specific bugs that carried over from 2k15.

Worst of all is the absolutely horrible online-performance, especially in RTTP. I've gotten several rim violations on freethrows, constantly get blocked on wide (wide!) open jumpshots, etc. 2k15 servers were much better, or if it's not the servers, at least that aspect of the game was.
