Association mode in NBA Live

I've never played NBA Live since 2k came out so I'm wondering how EA has done with association mode? I know for Fifa they do a heck of a job, you have control over a lot of things and have almost everything covered. It's their bread and butter imo so hope u guys can share some info about it.

No where near as deep as Fifa, but they did have a couple nice features to build on.

At the beginning of every season, you got to choose your team direction. Rebuilding, Up And Coming, and Contender. Each option had its own set of goals for the season. Fulfill the goals and you got points, I forgot what the points were for though (haven't played in ages).

It also had the Academy. Basically your whole team is in the workout facility and you can shoot around with any player. But the point is to go to 1 of the 4 coaches in there and complete drills to boost players attributes, you got 10 total drills. The Academy is accessible at the beginning of the season, and 1 once a month. It it is also used for prospect scouting, which was a pretty stellar idea. Of course, instead of increasing the prospects attributes, you uncover them. Helps you decide on who to draft. You can choose 10 rookies (I think) to workout in the offseason.

Overall, the Dynasty mode was decent, but its nowhere near as deep as Fifa's career mode, and I might even give 2k's Association a slight edge. But, I cant wait to see what Live 14's Dynasty Mode has in store for us.

Fifa has been a constant fixture since 94 or so so they've had time to expand and work on it. Live's "association mode" had been more or less the same as 2K's in the past but since they've started over now I don't expect it to be that in depth this year,but you never know. I hope it is.

It'll probably be Dynasty Mode like it was in past NBA Lives

didn't play live 10 association , but I think I remember reading live 10 did not have 30 team control or player editability during the association.

They need to add those both in as features

anxious to see what they bring to the table. hopefully gameplay/animations are outstanding, and then they build from there. 2k needs some motivation to improve.

All I want from dynasty mode is the correct CBA.

I hope they fix the generated players or give us the option to edit draft classes. Nothing is more of a buzz-kill than seeing a black player with blue eyes and long blond hair wearing more accessories than a ninja turtle.
