I believe if they can manage to release live as a day one digital download exclusive for North america Nba Live would definately enhance their image in coming back as a great basketball sim. They'd get a head start on bringing the franchise back, the only thing left is it HAS to be a great game also. EA has their work cut out for them.

That's already been confirmed. Both Live 14 and 2K14 will release on the same day as the consoles.

They wouldn't win anything by that I think. Basketball games don't sell as much Fifa. Fifa is coming out with the console in some countries in Europe but they will be selling the game in other countries so they'll profit for it no matter what.
If they were to include it with the console in the states then they wouldn't get any profit from the biggest basketball market in the world.

They would lose money and we'dprobably not get a game next year. Fifa has a big budget and a bigger buffert for losses.

It would be a higher reward than risk because its only for day one editions while they last just like with fifa in europe. They'll be sold out in a week and the people who have live will tell their friends who get an xbox one later.. To get nba live and the chain begins for live to be back in the game.

I disagree. The majority of sales will probably come on Day 1, meaning Live would be throwing out potentially the majority of THEIR sales if they gave it away for free. They would be better off doing some sort of promo - say, buy the Day 1 edition and get 3000 extra XP for Rising Star mode.

But how does giving away a game free equal a win when console pre-orders are through the roof? They'd be throwing away a ton of money.
