OK so kyle Mccarthy is the saftey for notre dame
last year he had 110 total tackles and 2 picks
he is 72 overall in the game and is a backup?

Randall Cobb for the university of kentucky was a breakout freshman who played both reciever and quarterback
he had 300 rushing yards 200 receving yards and 100 pass attempts and 52 completions
all for a total of 11 touchdowns he gets a great 78 overall ?

I was upset last year, when Freshman All American Anthony Davis went from a 78 to a 79 between NCAA 08 and 09. Luckily he's now a 93 in 10.

Ratings are not exact science

even if it's not an exact science, EA still sucks pretty bad at doing it. how hard would it be to hire like one or two die-hard fan per team to do the ratings each year? i would do it for like 15-20 bucks to see nebraska rated correctly. rickey thenarse being a 90 is laughable. ya he hits hard, but he blows up so many assignments itd be tough to rate him an 85 for me.
