How he kept himself together, I have no idea.

Re: Now THIS is a frikkin' pilot

I probably would have **** my pants if I was on that plane. If I were a passenger on that plane, I'm not sure If I would be happy the guy saved it, or upset that the guy got us in that position in the first place.

I enjoy flying, but I'm not a big fan of crashing or almost crashing.

It's not the pilot's fault that the wind was bad.

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)

It's the pilots fault that he couldn't control it.

The wind is bad a lot of times during landing, but very rarely do you see this kind of event.

It wasn't completely the pilots fault, but he did play a role.

Yeah I'm sure that when the wind gusts up to 155 mph it's the pilot's fault that the plane went out of control for a second.

yeah, 155mph winds and its the pilots fault. If anything the pilot did a great job not crashing.

Re: Now THIS is a frikkin' pilot

You don't try to land a ****ing plane with 155 mph gusts. That's insanity.

Even more reason to blame this on the pilot and the control tower. The control tower knows what the weather is like on the runway. They should have never cleared the guy to land.

Edit: Um... I doubt that was 155mph gusts. It probably meant the plane was going 155mph when it was hit by wind. If it were 155mph gusts, you'd have seen a tornado or something.
