I really want to hang a heavy bag up in my basement, but I heard that no matter what kind of bracket you hang it on, it will still shake the room above it everytime you hit it.

Can anyone tell me if this is true or not? I'm not considering the freestanding bags because I already owned one and it was horrible. It made a ton of noise when you hit it, and it slid all over the room no matter what you filled the base with.

And let me know what kind of bag you have if you're happy with yours.

I have one and tried hanging it in about 5 different places. No matter where I put it the room above shook really badly whenever I used it, so I just took it down and it hasn't gone up since.

I had mine on my deck and that worked pretty well until it started getting colder out.
